Using small key-fob devices for security officers and cleaners to replace cumbersome hand held wands, the intelligent real time guard tour module enables centre management to view the last reported locations of staff on the Shop Alert floor plan.
The date, time, identity of the security officer/cleaner and location is automatically logged and in the event of an incident, i.e. a spillage, the security controller can enter a full detailed report for future reference.
Fully programmable tours allow management to allocate routes to individual staff, and through the comprehensive exception reporting facility, identify any tours that have not been completed.
Access control functionality for individual doors, incorporated into the guard tour module offers a highly cost effective alternative to conventional access control systems.
The clock in/out facility enables management to record the start and finish of security officers’ and cleaners’ shifts and produce individual attendance reports. This facility can be extended to offer the ability to register contractors on site.
The Guard Tour Module operates through conventional Shop Alert cabling, fibre optic or Cat5e. Where available an existing IP network can be utilised, significantly reducing the requirement for cable installation.
