Operating through an IP network, Campus Alert enables security control to send detailed text instructions, jpeg photographs and documents in a variety of formats, to fixed touch screen Campus Alert Pads located throughout the campus, in areas such as lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, receptions, offices, bars, cafes etc.
The recipient is alerted to a message by an audible tone, which when silenced, automatically generates an acknowledgement. This is instantly displayed on the bespoke university floor plan on the Campus Alert PC located in the security control room, with every message and acknowledgement automatically logged for future reference.
A personal attack button on the touch screen Campus Alert Pad enables university staff to discretely call the security control for assistance if required.
The ability to support a variety of text and graphic formats provides a platform for the distribution of a range of documents such as health & safety and emergency procedures.
